Time to play the scientist! You will learn how scientist do to research. They follow a set of steps called the Scientific Method.
Find a presentation to explain the difference between science and pseudoscience and to learn the Method steps.
STEPS TO THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD
1.-OBSERVE: pay close attention to your surroundings. What do you see, hear, smell, touch or taste?
2.-PROBLEM: What do you want to find out?
3.-HYPOTHESIS: What are your thougths? What is your prediction? "I think....because..."
4.- EXPERIMENT: What materials and procedures do you need to test your hypothesis?
5.- RESULTS: What happened during the experiment? (data analisis)
6.- CONCLUSION: What did you learn from the experiment?
Time for work: The senses laboratory. Download the laboratory handout.
